Can anyone help me with a medical question?

I am a 28 year old female. Have been having an onset of symtoms for the past few months. It was my GP that referred me to a gastro specialist as he described me as visibly shrinking before his eyes. I have been feeling increasingly weak and dizzy, bad abdominal pains and sometimes my limbs are to heavy too pick up or move. I lost a lot of weight but am now forcing food down me and although still thin gaining and losing again. Also my head hair has been falling out in clumps. My test have come back clear for hypoadrenilism, addisons and thyroid problems. I'm having a barium meal in a week and half but my doctors away till then and have started feeling sicker as in weaker etc. Also my GP asks about black stools. What are they supposed to look like I need to know. Should you only be worried if they are completely black? My stools are very loose with small black wierd clumps in them, more showing up lately. Does that count as upper GI bleeding? Can't seem to find the answer on the net. So if anyone knows for sure be grateful if you'd let me know. Also if carry on getting worse should I get some help or just wait until my hospital appointment? Don't like to bother the medics you see! Thank you if anyone gets back to me.

If being in the Air Force is something that you really want to do then I'd say go for it. From what you've listed I don't see why you wouldn't have a good chance of being accepted. It is a good way to go and a lot of people do it to help with education and/or a career they are interested in. Make sure you opt for the GI bill and when you are finished with serving 4 years or however many that you want beyond that then use it to further your education. I can tell you that there are job options to choose from that will also help you on the outside, it just depends on what they are. As for women in the military, we are treated as equal. Pulmonary Embolism Recovery Time?

I ended up in the ER with a pulmonary embolism a little under 2 weeks ago. I'm taking the Warfarin and the Lovenox shots and getting my blood tested every couple of days. So, I'm doing what I'm supposed to. But does anyone know how long it'll be before I stop feeling like I can barely breathe when I walk more than a block or two? I'm a full time student, part time office istant, and mom of a 3 year old. This huffing and puffing and corresponding chest pain are really getting old. Thanks for any help!

I would say that the only way that would happen is if you had IQ testing and academic testing done to prove her exceptional ability and you had specific approval from the online school in question. High school courses are going to require skills and knowledge learned in middle school. That's why they're given in high school, not middle school.

For me, the person in this poem is very angry with labels that society places on people. When reading this poem, I had the image of a carnival mirror in my mind. A mirror when looked into, shows a distorted reflection of reality. Life in general can seem pretty distorted. It's amazing how a change in a person's perspective can change the whole image. Alright, I know I just answered another question about "crooked" legs so maybe it's stupid to post this...but I'm a little paranoid. My yearling gelding has very nice conformation, but I've noticed that something looks "off" about his front legs. He doesn't appear affected because he moves fine and isn't lame. But when he was 3 months old a witchy mare we were boarding went after him, and his only option to get away was to either go through the fence or jump the water trough...luckily he chose the trough...but he landed with his front feet out and his hind legs in. He was fine...no cuts or scs, and no lameness, so we just kept an eye on him for any changes. Can a canker sore cause a toothache?

recently i had a huge canker sore on the very bottom of my left cheek and as soon as it appeared my top 2nd to last molar started to hurt horribly. i went to the dentist and he recomended i see a dental surgeon (apt is not for another 2 weeks) (the tooth hurting had a root c done on it years ago) but now my canker sore is almost gone and the tooth doesnt hurt anymore...is it possible that the canker sore caused this toothache? also at the dentist he gave me some novacaine to dig around with the drill, i couldnt feel the drill but the tooth ache was still there, it was so weird. so he gave me some 5/500 vicodin and it didnt do anything : (

I am a preschool teacher in Ohio. We focus most of our energies into teaching children beginning literacy concepts at an early age. If children don't know how to read when they begin school, how will they be able to learn any other subjects. This is why children who are behind in reading and writing will often fall behind in other areas even if they are gifted in another area. It is the basis of eveything we do in our lives. Can you imagine what it would be like not knowing how to read? And you must begin to plant the seed at an early age. Even reading to your child is a very big step. They will begin to learn the concepts of print which is one early essment you can do with young children.

I asked a friend of mine that's with the state police here and his response was that it used to be if you had a tattoo that would be visible when in uniform you couldn't join. Now however so many people have them that they had to change the policy or they wouldn't have any new recruits. It might still depend on the size of the tattoo and the location. Advice on dementia?

we are getting worried that my nan has dementia - she phones up to 10 times a day asking the same questions about where me, my mum and my dad are living (as we all live separately) and keeps asking me where I work, she forgets things she was told minutes ago but can remember things from the distant past. Her local vicar rang us a few weeks ago to say he has found her wandering around the village as she had forgetten where she was going. We have taken her to her GP and they arranged an old age psychologist who specialises in memory to see her. They gave her a 30 question test and said she scored quite well on it, and said she may have mild dementia but they weren't going to take it any further. Since my grandad died she can't deal with her bills and stuff as she never has done, so we are doing them, but basically she can take care of herself and goes to see her friends locally etc - any advice on what we should do next would be very much appreciated.

When I met her I was very into church (Methodist) and I had no doubt that Jesus was my savior, that God was the Almighty, etc. Since we've been dating she keeps presuring me to convert to Catholosism because she is Catholic. TSA enhanced pat-down procedures do not violate illegal search laws because individuals are not required to submit to them. Forewarned, pengers may chose another form of transportation if they do not want to comply with procedures. Those attacking the TSA will screech loudest when the next "underwear bomber" is successful. I wonder if they would change their mind if it were their plane.

I had TAHBSO last year because I got a endometrial cancer and after a month the doctor advised me to have a CT scan to make sure everything is clear. The result was negative. Just this week I had my whole abdomen CT scan again just a yearly check up of any abnormalities inside. Indeed, it was found out that there are at least 2 recent nodular densities representing enlarged lymph nodes in the left pelvic side walls, level of the cervical stump, measuring up to 0.6cm and 0.7cm in widest diameter. My doctor said I need to have a chemotherapy to get rid of it. Is it the proper way to do it?

I think the reason people ignore grammar is because they're forced to worry about grammar in an academic setting. When they're not in school, they feel free to write things in the easiest way possible, with limited attention to punctuation and spelling. Most people know how to spell "knew" and "more," but maybe they don't care THAT much, and don't correct their mistakes (you misspelled those words as "kew" and "'moe") unless they feel forced to do so.

It all depends, the first thing i WOULD do is defragment your hard drive, if it is 85% full and you hven't done that it can actually wear the drive down faster as it has to search for everything. Once you defragment it you should see a difference in speed as well as make it easier on the hard drive. The drive making noises are also a sign that it is about to go out, but that depends on how old it is. If it's a few years old i'd back stuff up and get a new one, you can get a 1TB drive for around 100 bucks at best buy these days. or go to tigerdirect.com for other deals, from the sounds of it though, it may be the way hitachi builds thier drives if both of yours have done this.

You can't tell by how much stuff you have that makes you rich, you can be middle cl but your parents know how to spend their money, unlike mine. It sounds like your parents do have money, but it depends on what they make yearly to know the cl. Like my dad's income is in the upper middle cl range.

Why do so many kids get diagnosed with autism these days?

I just saw a video of a supposedly autistic boy who saved his teacher's life by doing the heimlich maneuver. He was talkative and is a boy scout. My best friend when I was growing up had a sister with autism, and she could barely communicate. She would have frequent tantrums, had to go to a special school, and only talked sporadically through sign language. Now it seems like any kid with any kind of odd behavior or who doesn't quite fit in gets diagnosed with autism. This kid twitched a little but otherwise was fine. I was shy when I was a kid and I still stammer sometimes. Does that make me autistic? What about all the other socially awkward kids I hung out with?

Well.... My Girlfriend Stinks!!?

Okay I tried to think of how else to say it without seeming like a you know what. However I said you need to take a shower because you stink. She takes a shower everyday almost and I have even asked her if she wipes her . She says yes then how come I can smell her through her pants when I am laying with her or almost an arms length away from her. You would think if she showers the smell would go away. Now I have that horrible smell in my nose and I just think it has changed the way I look at her. What should I do and how can I have the heart to do anything mean. I have tried to tough it out and I just can't take smells. I feel as though she might not clean between her crack because she might think it is nasty or maybe she has leakage.
