Child custody question?

Me and my baby's father do not get along at all, because he cheated on me when we were together and i cant get over it. But now the baby is involved and he is seeking custody. I am not working right now because i just moved back to where i am living, but have applied for several jobs. I also have reapplied for school, and i receive medicaid and wic for him, so his food and health insurance is covered. He on the other hand just graduated college with his ba degree, and instead of being with his son decided to play one more year of football. I am scared and wondering if he can get full custody of the baby because i am not working. I don't want to lose my son. I am freaking out. Please help! Tell me what i should do, or shouldn't do. Thank you!
