My 1996 Mustang won't start?

Have the battery and alternator checked. It takes a certain amound of electricity to run the car smoothly, and if there's less than that the performance suffers. There should be a light glowing on the dash warning that something is wrong. It sounds like you've been running straight off the battery with no charge coming from the alternator and, naturally the battery doesn't last long like that.
