Why are some people just so conserned about spelling over the Internet?

To some extent I agree. Your writing seems adequate. But if people are so illiterate that it detracts from what they are trying to communicate, it is not a good thing. Perfect spelling, grammar, typing, and grammar are not necessary but the anti-intellectual doofus-speak you see in a lot of messages seems to condemn the lack of literacy of the folks who are asking the literate people for help. If they concentrated a little more on developing there communication skills, the benefits would probably be lifelong. People get tired of feeling like they're supporting folks who make a virtue of ignorance and bad desisions and laziness.
