Catholics and Noncatholics What's Your Opinion on This?

I doubt it simply because Catholicism is pretty intimately tied in with your ethnicity in the US and Europe. Also, I know plenty of Catholics who aren't giving up on it, and actively go to M. That said, if the Catholic church did go kaput, then the Vatican would only have itself to blame.
