Are people with ADHD very "controlling"?

My boyfriend has dyslexia and dyspraxia and also several other symptoms of ADHD according to the DSM IV diagnosis chart. He is also very controlling and pedantic about timing and isn't very patient. I was wondering is this also a characteristic of ADHD or is it just a personality trait?
